"Crits, Grits and a Heap of Greens" Sunday, May 1, 2005 12pm to 7:30pm
Planning is underway for the 4th Annual Nalley Historic Roswell Criterium. Eight elite amateur and professional bicycle races, children's bike safety rodeo and races, street festival with food, entertainment and live music. Admission free for festival and children's activities. New this year will be the Inaugural Mayor's Ride, a recreational, 41-mile fun ride through Roswell.

2/21/05 Roswell City Council approves the Application for a Bicycle Friendly City Designation
Under stormy skies, the Roswell City Council unanimously and enthusiastically approved the application developed by Bike Roswell! to become the first bicycle friendly city in Georgia. This application will be submitted to the League of American Bicyclists in March. Steve Acenbrak of the Rowell City Transportation Department made the presentation to the council. Frank Eastland and Jackie Tyson of Bike Roswell! both spoke to the city council in support of the application. The many bicyclists and supporters were joined by Mayor Jere Wood for a group photo. Mayor Wood is also a cyclist.
