Photos of Bike Roswell! in action
This is just a couple of instances showing cyclists benefiting cycling in more ways than one.
Bike To School – Hembree Springs Elementary
This is what bicycle advocacy is all about. Helping our youth learn the proper way to ride bicycles for transportation as well as recreation. Here, Bike Roswell! members Doug Fallon, Tom Erdmanczk, Kim Webber and Steve Acenbrak escorted several kids riding their bikes to school. The other children were escorted by their parents for this Bike To School event. After school, Doug and Tom went back and escorted the kids back home. A few days later, here’s what one of the kids wrote, “…I am in 3rd grade at Hembree Springs Elementary. Can you tell the bikers that escorted us to school last week, “Thank you!” It was really cool. I think we should do it again.”
Roswell Mayor’s Ride, April 28th, Roswell, GA
This was a awesome, fun and rainy day event. We had a ton of riders show up to prove that they weren’t your average fail-weather rider. They started the ride in the rain and finished the ride in the rain. The ride had plenty of support, refreshments, rest stops with shelter, roving mechanical and SAG support, volunteers that stayed throughout the ride and more. It was a blast! We have been deluged with comments from the participating riders saying, “This was one of their best rides.” Here are some photos of the event:
Frankie’s Riding for the Border, March 23rd, Rockmart, GA
A Multi-Bicycle Organization event on the Silver Comet with Bike Roswell!, BRAG, SBL, Georgia Bikes, ABC and more.
Doug Fallon and Tom Erdmanczk braved the rain and set up our new tent for all to admire.
Looks pretty good. All we needed were riders to get our ride info.
