Bike Roswell! Donates City’s First Bike Repair Station

The next time you visit Roswell area park, you may notice something new.  Bike Roswell! is proud to have worked with the City of Roswell, Georgia Government to donate the first Bike Repair Station which was installed recently at Riverside Park near the restrooms and existing bike racks.  Riverside Park is located at 575 Riverside Rd in Roswell, GA.  The park features one of the largest parking lots along the river and features restrooms, water fountains and direct access to the Riverwalk Trail and many of the area’s road cycling routes.  .  These amenities and prime location made it an ideal location for Roswell’s first Bike Repair station.

This repair station will now help keep people riding and make the large Riverside Park parking area an ideal location to start your ride along the river whether it is on the road or on the trail.  The repair station features a full assortment of tools and a bike pump with a pressure gauge and is equipped for both schrader and presta tire valves.    The tools include phillips and standard screwdrivers, steel core tire levers, headset/pedal wrench, 8/10mm cone wrench, 9/11mm cone wrench, torn t-25, and a hex key set all attached to the station with retractable steel cables.  The station features padded rubber area to raise your bike to pump up your tires, or use the tools to make minor adjustments to your bike, or fix a flat. The new repair stand is all part of Bike Roswell! and the City of Roswell’s Bicycle Friendly Community effort.  The bike repair stand adds convenience for riders by giving them the tools they need to get riding and keep riding longer.  This Check out the new stand and let us know what you think!

The repair stand was made possible by Bike Roswell! courtesy of funds raised by Bike Roswell! members and through the yearly Bike Roswell! Mayor’s Ride and Roswell Moves! event. Bike Roswell is a 501c3 organization dedicated to making Roswell a more Bicycle Friendly Community.  In partnership with the City of Roswell this first repair stand will serve as a test for the city and Bike Roswell! to better understand the maintenance requirements of the stations and get feedback from the riding public about the stands.  To learn more about Bike Roswell visit our website www.bikeroswell.org
